GREAT WILDERNESS CHALLENGE; Every year, the picturesque Scottish Highland villages of Poolewe and Aultbea, along with the surrounding country estates, play host to one of Scotland's most gruelling endurance sporting events for charity. This annual and tough race through 25 miles of wilderness is a major event in Wester Ross's calendar and raises large sums of money for charities, recently around £200,000 each year.

SEASCAPE EXPEDITIONS: Based in Ullapool Seascape Expeditions visit the Summer Isles and Loch Broom. ART, CULTURE, HISTORY

Ceangol=connection: is an international collaboration between Lynn Bennett-Mackenzie (Scotland) & Somu Desai (India) to create a series of international artists residencies in the Highlands of Scotland. It's mission is to set up residencies for artists to visit NW Scotland and create artworks and to interact with the community and promote the arts and the area.

GAIRLOCH HERITAGE MUSEUM: The comprehensively covers the history of the area, including archaeological finds, a croft house room, schoolroom, ongoing presentations on various topics, exhibitions. It also has a shop and the interior of the local lighthouse. For children, there are working models, quizzes and hands-on activities.For researchers, an archive with a rich collection of resources and library. For research purposes contact the museum first to discuss with them the subject(s) you are interested in.

Lynn Bennett-MacKenzie: Born in 1967, Lynn is an established artist living and working in Gairloch, NW Scotland. Brought up in remote rural areas of the Highlands of Scotland, Lynn studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, graduating in 1990. She enjoys creating in a variety of media and exploring new methods of working. She has exhibited widely and taken part in several community and international projects including The Big Picture, Wild Wood , Landfill art, an International Art Symposium in Russia and is currently collaborating with an Indian artist to create Ceangal, a series of international artist residencies in the NW Highlands. In her painting and drawing works she successfully expresses the emotion of the often isolating atmosphere of the Highlands.

ANTHONY ROACH LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY; Anthony Roach presents his evocative landscapes of the east coast of Australia featuring pictures of Coogee Beach, Clovelly Beach, Bronte and Bondi Beach as well as other stunning locations.

ED DUNCAN PHOTOGRAPHY; Ed is a Scottish freelance photographer based in Wester Ross in the Highlands of Scotland. Passionate about pictures and the natural world, Ed has been traveling around Scotland and abroad for over 25 years using every opportunity he can to capture magical colour and monochrome moments using Fujichrome Velvia and Ilford Pan F films.

EOGHAIN MACLEAN PHOTOGRAPHY: Eoghain specialises in Wildlife Photography in the landscapes of Wester Ross. He has lived in Wester Ross for almost 50 years, worked on Beinn Eighe National Reserve for the past 24 years and so has an extensive knowledge of this land and its wildlife.

WOLF PHOTOGRAPHY: Wolf Photography and SnowMoon Wolf are Not For Profit therapeutic work projects with the following aims: To raise awareness of PTSD, educate on Intellectual Property issues and promote creative arts as a coping mechanism for disability. The project is financed via selling prints and licensing images, as well as selling books.
