Coigach

Leaving Ullapool on the Scottish north-west coast travelling north we drive along the eastern flanks of Ben More Coigach until we turn left on to the long and winding single-track road to Achiltibuie. Essentially following this route takes you around Ben More Coigach, passing other notable mountains such as Stac Pollaidh en route. Until you reach Achiltibuie this is an area almost totally devoid of human habitation, unspoiled and wild. The scenery is wonderful for landscape photographs, and on reaching the coast at Achiltibuie there is a fine vista containing the many Summer Isles.

En route you will pass through the following communities; Ardmair, Strath Kanaird, Drum Runie, Achnahaird, Reiff, Polbain, Achiltiibuie, Polglass, Badenscallie, and Culnacraig.
