Gruinard Bay is located in the North-west Scottish Highlands, about an hours drive south of Ullapool. It is well known for its sweeping sea and mountain views and on very clear days, which are quite common, the far Sutherland mountains are clearly seen, as far as Arkle, Ben Stack, and Foinaven which are up to 45 miles away.
When complete this gallery of landscape photographs will take you on a tour round Gruinard Bay, starting at Mellon Udrigle on the north-west shore, and finishing at Mungasdale on the north-east shore. More information about Gruinard Bay is available in the link to the article shown at the bottom of this page.
