The Places Gallery of Scottish Landscape photographs is structured to give the viewer a guided tour through Scotland's North-west Highlands, Starting at the Isle of Skye, illustrating not only the landscapes, but also the remote villages where small tight-knit communities live and work.

Loch Fada and The Storr, Isle of Skye
The scenes will be presented in the sequence that you would encounter them in an actual tour. When complete this gallery will provide a visual and descriptive guided tour from Skye in the south, through Lochalsh, Wester Ross and to the far north of Sutherland. We hope you enjoy the tour, however even more pleasure will be gained by exploring this area for yourself! There are a few scenes south of Skye, but as they are few in number I have not classed them as being part of the tour.
Traditional Silver Halide prints are available from most of the images on display in this gallery, and more information about this type of print can be found at 'About The Prints' on the left hand menu. To ensure, when browsing through this gallery on a 'virtual' tour of the West Highlands, the imagery is as comprehensive as possible, images from the Moods Gallery are repeated here. Note however such images are only available as Fine Art prints, not as Silver Halide prints. The menu item to the left, 'About The Prints', provides more detail on the characteristics of each of the two types of print.
Some of the images in this gallery are also available as greetings cards. Note that as the greetings card has a fixed format 6" x 4" (152mm x 101mm) photograph, a few images offered as greetings cards need a little cropping to fit the card format. You can be sure that this has been done with the greatest sensitivity to the composition of the image. I would not use an image for a greetings card if it could not be fitted sympathetically into the card format.
