The Isle of Skye, a large island lying of the North-West coast of Scotland has a acquired a romantic, almost mystical aura, and is well known through songs and poems. It's landscape is also spectacular, the Cuillin mountains, built from sharp edged gabbro rock, offers some of the most technically difficult climbing anywhere in Europe.
As this gallery builds it will form a tour, starting at Sleat, travelling in anti-clockwise direction round the island, with forays into the interior at appropriate points. The tour will conclude with views of Skye as seen from vantage points off the island.
