Leaving the Kyle of Lochalsh and heading north the first major loch reached is Loch Carron, about 11 kilometres long, with the village of Plockton at it's end, and Lochcarron village at its beginning, it is one of the few lochs in the north west Highlands with a mainline railway running along its length, and thus it is a destination easy to get you if you are relying on public transport.
The Plockton area is covered in a separate gallery, and the area covered here includes the following communities, Stromeferry, Ardnarf, and Attadale on the south shore, then Kirkton, Lochcarron village, Mid Strome, Stromemore, Leacanashie, and Ardaneaskan on the North Shore.
