Moods Gallery - Fine Art Prints
The Moods gallery contains a selection of my Scottish North-west Highland landscapes that are now available as fine art prints, sometimes known as Giclée prints. They are printed on the finest quality 308 gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper.
The use of the finest printing papers, archival pigment inks, the creative vision of Gordon’s photography, and the skills of one of the finest printers, Jack Lowe, combine to produce an artwork of beauty and longevity, surpassing the print quality of a traditional chemical approach.
The quality of the paper used as the substrate for my images is complemented by the use of the finest inks available today. HP Vivera Pigment inks provide a greater range of colour than that available in traditional silver halide photographs, enabling the print to come ever closer to the reality of nature’s beauty.
Jack Lowe’s skills as a printer to many leading photographers, ensures that my images are transferred faithfully to print. Each print ordered is created individually for the purchaser and signed by Gordon. They will give a lifetime of pleasure.
Places Gallery - C-Type (Silver Halide) Prints
Historically photographic papers were exposed by passing light through a negative. Now the paper is exposed by projecting the digital image onto the paper which is then developed and washed using traditional techniques. C-Type prints are available from many of the images on display in the Places Gallery. This digital process provides the feel and quality of a traditional photographic print with the creativity and consistency only offered by a digital process.
My C-Type prints are printed by Spectrum Photographic, probably the leading photographic printer in the UK. They work with photographers and artists to produce work that has been exhibited in art galleries and museums around the world. They have a well deserved reputation for quality and excellence.
The C-type prints are printed onto Fuji Crystal Archive paper with Spectrum Photographic's Durst Theta (30” Lambda) printer or the ZBE Chromira 50” printer.
Logo
All prints bear my logo which is discretely printed in one of the bottom corners of the image. The logo is 6mm wide (0.25 inch) on all print sizes and printed in a colour that complements the immediately surrounding area of the image.
