Moods Gallery - Fine Art Prints
The Moods gallery contains a selection of my Scottish North-west Highland landscapes that are now available as fine art prints, sometimes known as Giclée prints. They are printed on the finest quality 315g/m2 Innova Smooth Cotton Natural White Cotton Rag paper.
The use of the finest printing papers, archival pigment inks, the creative vision of the Gordon’s photography, and the skills of one of the finest printers, Jack Lowe, combine to produce an artwork of beauty and longevity, surpassing the print quality of a traditional chemical approach.
The quality of the paper used as the substrate for my images is complemented by the use of the finest inks available today. Epson’s UltraChromeTM ink-set provide a greater range of colour than that available in traditional silver halide photographs, enabling the print to come ever closer to the reality of nature’s beauty.
Jack Lowe’s skills as a printer to many leading photographers, ensures that my images are transferred faithfully to print. Each print ordered is created individually for the purchaser and signed by Gordon. They will give a lifetime of pleasure.
Places Gallery - Silver Halide Prints
Silver Halide prints are available from most of the images on display in the Places gallery. These prints are created on a Durst Lambda printer. The Lambda laser printer is the most advanced technology in large format printing, combining the classical advantages of silver halide photography with all the benefits of digital imaging.
The major advantages of Lambda created silver halide prints over conventional techniques include greater image sharpness, high colour saturation, and an outstanding wealth of detail and definition in shadow detail, and enjoying the longevity associated with traditional silver halide prints.
Logo
All prints bear my logo which is discretely printed in one of the bottom corners of the image. The logo is 12mm wide (0.5 inch) on all print sizes and printed in a colour that complements the immediately surrounding area of the image.
