Image Details
Every now and again extraordinary scenes arise, and this is one such occasion when I was present and had my camera with me to photograph it.
The view is from the hills above the eastern shore of Scotland's Loch Ewe, with Loch Ewe in the foreground, then Isle Ewe, then beyond is Loch Ewe again, invisible due to banks of sea mist punctuated by the hills rising out of the Inverasdale peninsula on the western shore of Loch Ewe.
Amongst the trees on the Isle of Ewe are the ruins of the schoolhouse, abandoned some number of years ago. The children on this island now travel by boat to the mainland each day to attend school, weather permitting of course!
